In order to promote Cantonese opera art and culture to more audiences in different parts of the world, The Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong, with the support of the Hong Kong SAR Government Home Affairs Bureau, produced "The Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong Channel: Cantonese opera Online School" in 2020, with a total of 40 episodes of Cantonese opera guided tour materials. With the universal Internet, viewers in different regions can watch 40 episodes of the Cantonese opera guide program in simple terms for free at any time. Under the leadership of producer Wong Ming-Chuen, seven members of the production team (Law Ka-Ying, Lung Koon-Tin, Sun Kim-Long, Wong Chiu-Kwan, Chan Hung-Chun, Wen Yuyu, Li Yaowei) are responsible for conceiving and planning the overall program content. Several art directors are responsible for the selection, casting and demonstration content of each episode.
The association mobilized about 350 Cantonese opera practitioners in front of and behind the scenes, and hired a professional production team. After many months of hard work in filming and production, 40 episodes of the program have been successfully completed. In order to let the general public understand this culturally significant project, the Association will hold the launching ceremony of the "The Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong Channel" at 11:00 am on March 1, 2021 at Yau Ma Tei Theatre.
